The goal of the program is to prepare specialists in a trauma-sensitive approach to their ministry, with an emphasis on pastoral care based on the use of religious coping strategies and modeling of social service practices.
Organizers: NGO “Dialogue in Action” together with the Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute (Bucha) and the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy (Lutsk).
For whom?
The program is aimed at religious leaders, chaplains and other representatives of religious organizations or believers, providing them with knowledge and skills for a conscious response to modern challenges and war, understanding trauma and providing psychological support in the context of spiritual ministry.
What do we offer?
The program has dual certification and can be used within the framework of other academic education or as advanced training. Certified by the Academic Councils of the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy (Lutsk) and the Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute (Bucha).
As part of the training, you will find:
Up to four offline modules lasting 3-4 days of training in the training format;
Experience exchange trips to colleagues from the regions and additional training on the ground (within Ukraine);
Online and offline supervisory support from team specialists;
Access to practical materials and training from real practitioners;
Support of the “Dialogue in Action” alumni community and participation in joint meetings, conferences, etc.

Fundamentals of practical psychology;
Psychology of crisis situations;
Religious coping;
Propaedeutics of psychiatry;
Comparative pastoral care;
Restorative practices and Circle practices;
Trauma and context-sensitive approach;
Psychology and religion.
