The Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute hosted the first module of the certified program "Psychological Support at the Basis of Spiritual Service". This training equips religious leaders, chaplains, and faith-based practitioners in a trauma-sensitive approach to their ministry.
Module 1 covered fundamental aspects of practical psychology for ministry contexts, crisis psychology, theological perspectives on trauma, and religious coping mechanisms. Participants engaged in discussions about combining faith with evidence-based support practices when assisting individuals through loss, grief, and challenging life transitions.
The program “Psychological Support at the Basis of Spiritual Service” holds dual certification from The Academic Council of the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy (Lutsk) and The Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute (Bucha). Credits may be applied toward further academic studies or professional development.
