A landmark event was the international conference "Security in Europe: Religious Dimensions of War and Moral Responsibility for Peace" (Peace Symposium), which took place on February 12-13 in Munich (Germany) and was co-organized by the Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv, Ukraine), Ludwig Maximilian University (Germany), and the University of Notre Dame (USA).
The conference began with a joint prayer for peace in several languages, and continued with two days of intense discussions on the topics of peace, negotiations, the role of religion, and understanding what may happen in the world in the near future. The event was characterized by its proximity and relevance to the main Munich Security Conference.
